Recently, two new credit cards have been made available at Credit Cards Canada. We are pleased to continue offering access to the best Canadian credit cards, and our new offerings, two Capital One Aspire Cash credit cards, are likely to to be great picks for certain customers.
Both of these cards offer cash back, and they are available to those with good credit. There are some subtle differences, though, between the Capital One Aspire Cash World MasterCard and the Capital One Aspire Cash Platinum MasterCard:
Capital One Aspire Cash World MasterCard
If you are looking for a little more oomph to your cash back rewards, you can get it with the Capital One Aspire Cash World MasterCard.
This card offers 1.5% cash bak on all purchases. Additionally, you can get 20% extra cash back each year. Your first purchase comes with a $100 bonus cash reward. This reward almost covers the $120 annual fee right off the bat. Plus, as long as you are savvy about your card use, you could easily zero out the the annual fee. There is no limit to the cash you can earn, and you can add a free authorized user to help build the rewards faster. Pay off the card each month, and the 19.80% apr doesn't matter. Plus, you get 0% on balance transfers made at application.
One of the benefits of the Aspire Cash World MasterCard is that you have access to the World MasterCard program, which offers a number of perks and benefits. You must have excellent credit to qualify for this credit card.
Capital One Aspire Cash Platinum MasterCard
Like the Aspire Cash World MasterCard, the Capital One Aspire Cash Platinum MasterCard comes with some great cash back benefits, as well as a 0% balance transfer option at application and a 19.80% interest rate.
However, there is no annual fee with this credit card. You get 1% cash back, with no limits on how much cash you can earn. You also get 20% extra cash rewards each year. Your first purchase comes with a $50 cash bonus, and you can add an authorized user for free. This card only requires that you have good credit to qualify.
Since you won't pay an annual fee for the Aspire Cash Platinum MasterCard, you won't get all of the same perks, but this can be a great cash back card for those who are interested in earning cash rewards, but who don't need the same travel perks that come with the World MasterCard program.
