Since its launch in June of 2010, the MBNA Smart Cash card has become the most popular rewards card at Credit Cards Canada. It was announced today that the card has received an updated look. We think the updated card art has a very fresh look and does a good job of reinforcing the brand. Kudos to MBNA!
The Smart Cash card is great for those looking to maximize their cash back rewards. Here are some bullet points for the main features of the card.

- 1.99% introductory annual interest rate† on balance transfers* and cheque cash advances for 10 months
- Get up to 3% cash back on qualifying net retail gas and grocery purchases thereafter

New facelift looks more like a cheap department store card (eg. HBC card) or Bank card (BMO). Doesn’t scream “platinum” – embarassing.
